ABORIGINAL ART WORKSHOPS
Having studied Aboriginal Art for 20 years and visited the Yolngu community in Australia's Northern Territory twice in that time, I am confident at being able to share the knowledge I have gathered with children and adults alike. I like to teach about the art of the Yolngu and other indigenous Australian communities and then encourage participants to create art that takes elements of the art they have seen, but also relates to their own lives. The teaching always includes an element of sensory learning, drawing symbols in sand with our fingers, as well as having an Australian ochre symbol painted on our hands.
